Man Escapes Serious Injury After Being Grazed by Bullet to the Head

At approximately 04:00 hours on Tuesday, Boston Police Officers of District B-2 responded to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for a person that had come in after a firearm related incident. Friends of the victim dropped him off at the Emergency Department after he was grazed by a bullet in the head.

His injuries were deemed relatively superficial and non-life-threatening. The victim and friends reported the shooting happened on Walkhill Street, in Mattapan. BPD Officers from B-3 responded to the scene and located seven spent shell casings.

Detectives were called in to process the ballistic evidence as well as at the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
