At about 9:01 PM on Saturday, July 10, 2021, officers assigned to District E-18 (Hyde Park) arrested, Dijuan Jackson, 46, of Dorchester, on firearm related charges after responding to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 66 Lewiston Street in Hyde Park.
On arrival, officers located two adult male victims who stated that they had been confronted and threatened by the suspect who was armed with a revolver. The victims provided officers with a detailed description of the suspect and stated that he had fled on foot prior to their arrival. Responding units soon located and stopped the suspect before performing a pat frisk with negative results.
Officers then retraced the suspect’s path of flight and recovered a loaded .38 Special Colt Police Positive revolver which had been discarded in the area of 82 Lewiston Street. The suspect was placed in custody without incident after being positively identified on scene.
The suspect will appear in West Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (5th Offense), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Armed Career Criminal (Level 3) and Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
