Rainy Saturday Brings Bloodshed and Bullets Overnight

District C-11

Shortly after midnight, right before 00:30 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to 84 Bailey Street, in Dorchester, for reports of shots fired. There were no victims located, and ballistics were recovered and processed. The suspect was said to have fired rounds into the air before driving away in a black sedan. No further information is available.

At 02:40 hours, Boston Police responded to the area of Dakota Street and Greenbrier Street, in Dorchester, for reports of shots fired. Boston Police arrived on scene and located ballistic evidence. District Detectives were called in to process, no further information is available.


District B-2

At approximately 19:15 Boston Police Officers assigned to District B-2 received calls for a person shot in the area of 146 Blue Hill Ave and West Cottage Street, in Roxbury. A ShotSpotter was also activated in the area for 10 rounds. Police arrived and found one victim that had been shot twice, with another victim who was grazed by a bullet. Both victims were transported, with the first victim sustaining serious, potentially life-threatening injuries that have now been deemed stable. Back at the scene of the shooting, District Detectives collected ballistic evidence and processed the scene. There have been no arrests or further information released.

Minutes after 00:00 hours, Boston Police received another call for a person stabbed, this time in the area of Mt Pleasant Ave and Dudley Street in Roxbury. Boston Police and Boston EMS responded to the scene and found a victim with a stab wound to the chest that appeared to have resulted in a collapsed lung. EMS requested medics for backup before he was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. His condition has not been updated. A crime scene was established and processed by District Detectives. No suspect description has been released in connection to the incident and no arrests have been made.

At 01:30 hours, Boston Police assigned to District B-2 were informed of 911 calls for shots fired in the area of Holborn Street, in Roxbury. No word on if any ballistics were located or recovered.

Shortly before 04:00 hours, Boston Police again were called in after a caller reported hearing 3-4 rounds in the area of Humboldt Ave, in Roxbury. No further information is available.


District B-3

At 19:00 hours, Boston Police Officers received word of a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Ballou Ave and Mascot Street, in Mattapan. Officers arrived on scene, and after finding no obvious victims or suspects in the immediate area, began to search for ballistics. Spent shell casings were located and processed by District Detectives.

At approximately 01:50 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District B-3 responded to a ShotSpotter activation for 15 rounds in the area of 35 Astoria Street, in Mattapan. Officers arrived and began to search for evidence of the ShotSpotter. Ballistics were located and recovered by District Detectives that were called in to process. No injuries or suspects were reported in connection to the incident, and no further information has been released at this time.


District D-4

At 02:40 hours, Boston Police were made aware of a self-presenting gunshot victim at 725 Albany Street, in Boston. Police Officers arrived and were told that the incident had happened somewhere in Dorchester. Eventually a scene was located and Boston Police arrived to investigate. No further information is available.


District C-6

Early Sunday morning, at approximately 06:40 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District C-6 responded to 112 Southampton Street, on the Roxbury/South Boston line, for reports of a person stabbed. Boston Police and Boston EMS responded to the scene and found the victim had minor lacerations as a result of the incident. The victim was treated for minor injuries and is expected to recover. No information surrounding a suspect or nature of the incident is available.
