Another Woman Shot and Killed, This Time in Gangland Mass Shooting That Injured Five Others

At about 12:29 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a Shot Spotter Activation at 27 Irma Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers located one (1) adult female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by Boston EMS.

Officers additionally located two (2) victims on the scene suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. They were quickly transported by Boston EMTs and Paramedics. Additional investigation revealed three (3) victims self-transported to local hospitals from the Irma Street incident, all suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
