Boston Police B-2 Units Recovery Firearm in Roxbury

At about 6:25 AM on Thursday, August 12, 2021 officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite firearm arrest of a 22-year-old Daryl Dirtion of 45 Centre Street in Roxbury on firearm charges.

Officers received information that there was a black male wearing all white with a firearm in his waistband on a bicycle in front of Mario’s Sub’s and Salad’s (22 Warren Street). The male was observed showing the firearm to multiple people in the parking lot of Bank of America located in Nubian Square.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect inside of the store and recovered a loaded Taurus G2C 9MM, with one (1) round in the chamber and five (5) rounds in the magazine from the suspect’s pocket. The 22-year-old male was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He was arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
