Stabbing Victim Attempts to Flee in Car, Crashes and Sets Off Major Car Fire

On Saturday August 21st at 02:20 hours police received reports that a man had been stabbed in the Grove Hall area of Roxbury. Additionally at the same time they began receiving calls for a car fire and a multi-vehicle MVA Blue Hill Ave near Seaver Street. Apparently the victim of the stabbing had fled in a vehicle up Blue Hill Ave, striking multiple vehicles, and causing one to catch fire.

The victim proceeded to get out of the vehicle, and began running around the street shouting nonsense words. He also attempted to fight numerous people, including EMTs and bystanders.

Eventually police helped restrain him, and they were able to get him into an ambulance for medical treatment. EMS was able to confirm multiple wounds, as well as a serious head injury.

Firefighters eventually extinguished the vehicle fire, which luckily was contained, however other vehicles were damaged in the incident. At this time detectives are still investigating. No suspect information was released.
