Dorchester Shooting Victim Arrives at Hospital as Detectives Process Crime Scene

Saturday, August 28 at approximately 01:00 hours, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Westville and Bowdoin in Dorchester. The ShotSpotter had indicated 15 rounds discharged.

Upon arrival, officers were not able to locate a victim, but did locate numerous shell casings. Detectives processed the scene. While detectives were processing the scene, the victim of the shooting drove up to a local area hospital. The victim was suffering from serious, but non-life threatening gun shot wounds. No further information has been released at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
