Magazine Street Residence Shot Up Twice in Three Days

Over the past 48 hours residents on Magazine Street in Roxbury have been shaken to their core after a barrage of bullets seemingly targeted the residence at number 90 not once but twice. Here’s the breakdown:

Incident #1: Monday Morning

District B-2 officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Magazine Street at around 00:30 hours on Monday, September 6. The ShotSpotter indicated 10+ rounds. Officers found no apparent victims, but did locate a car with ballistic damage, as well as a trail of spent casings spanning nearly three blocks of Magazine Street, but with the bulk in the area of number 90.

There have been no arrests in this ongoing investigation. District Detectives responded to the scene, and processed the evidence.

Incident #2: Tuesday Night

District B-2 officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 90 Magazine Street at around 23:00 hours on Tuesday evening, September 7. The ShotSpotter indicated over 20 rounds fired. Officers found no victims, but two homes in that area were struck with gunfire.

Numerous spent casings were again found on Magazine Street and again the bulk of them seemed to indicate that number 90 was the intended target. District Detectives responded to the scene, and processed the evidence. At this time no arrests have been made; however a clear suspect description was obtained, including a blue or black BMW with yellow break calipers.

UPDATE: Wednesday Evening

Detectives from District B-2 located a vehicle with heavy ballistic damage in the area of Cawfield Street a few street over from the Magazine Street scene around 18:00 hours on Wednesday. The black BMW also had yellow break calipers similar to the suspect description from the other two shootings. At this time Police have not confirmed if the vehicle is related.
