ShotSpotter Activation in Dorchester Leads to Random Ringing Cellphone

On September 7th at around 22:00 hours, officers from District C-11 responded to the area of Geneva Avenue in Dorchester for a ShotSpotter activation. The ShotSpotter indicated 8 or more rounds discharged.

Upon arrival, officers found a cell phone actively ringing, but no victims. Detectives were called in to process the scene and take possession of evidence.

No arrests have been made at this time, and no further information was released.
