Ormand Street Shooting Victim Expect to Survive GSW to the Face

District B-3 officers responded to a single round ShotSpotter activation on Ormand Street in Mattapan on Wednesday, September 8th, at 22:30 hours. Arriving officers located a shooting victim inside of a crashed motor vehicle, with one gunshot wound to the face. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to local area trauma center, and despite severe injuries, is expected to survive.

Detectives arrived and processed the scene. No arrests have been made, and no suspect name has been released at this time. The investigation remains open.
