BFD Knocks Down Brighton 3 Alarm Blaze

At approximately 16:00 hours on December 1, 2021, Boston Fire Department responded to 95 Washington Street for reports of a fire on the fourth floor of a large apartment building.

Companies arrived to find heavy smoke conditions in the building, and a major evacuation was undertaken.

A second alarm was called, followed by a third alarm. One resident was transported to the hospital.

The BFD Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire. The Victim Assistance Unit is helping with the displaced. A-10 Boston Sparks volunteered their time to assist BFD and the residents.
