Eight Alarm Fire Out After Hours Long Fight of Burning Commercial Building in Brighton

At approximately 04:30 hours this morning, Boston Fire Department responded to 185 Corey Road for reports of heavy fire showing from the commercial building.

Fire was observed on multiple floors, as the number of alarms was raised over the night up to 8 alarms. 

By 05:15 hours, all BFD members have been ordered out of the building, as the fire broke through the roof. The neighborhood was filled with heavy black smoke, as all companies continued their work.

As the wind shifted over night, firefighters dealt with zero visibility battling the blaze.

One firefighter has been injured. At around 11:30 hours, all first alarm companies were making up. There will be 3 engines and 2 ladders plus the tower to continue to monitor the hot spots in the building. The BFD Fire Investigation Unit is on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
