Boston’s First Person Shot of 2022, Less Than Five Hours in to the New Year

At approximately 04:19 hours on January 1, 2022, officers from District B2 responded to the area of 63 Cheney Street for reports of a person shot. On arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Boston EMS transported the man, whom is believed to be in stable condition.

Detectives were called in and recovered ballistic evidence on scene as well as processed clothes and blood evidence. This investigation remains active, though no further information is available at this time.
