St Anthony Shrine Gives Back Over the Holidays With Help From BPD

Over the holiday break, the Franciscan Friars and countless volunteers from St Anthony Shrine on Arch Street, with help from Boston Police Officers from District A-1, distributed over 500 Christmas dinners to those in need.

Father Tom Conway, Father Frank Sevola, and Brother James Lagrutta joined Boston’s finest in combatting the food insecurity that is plaguing our nation. The resulting line, from the generously offered meals, circled the entire block.

The friars of St Anthony have long been considered one of Boston’s treasures. While feeding the homeless and working poor families of Boston, they also run a women’s health clinic for Boston’s homeless population.
