At approximately 22:30 hours on January 12, officers and Troopers from the Youth Violence Strike Force, also known as the Gang Unit, attempted to stop a Grey Jeep Compass with Virginia Plates in the area of Mt Pleasant Street.
The vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed, striking numerous cruisers, however officers escaped any major injuries. A BOLO was immediately issued for the vehicle and units across the entire metro-Boston area began to search for it. Included in the BOLO was information that the operator was armed with a firearm and most likely dangerous.
Throughout the night, officers continued to search for the vehicle and at approximately 09:00 hours the following morning, they located it in the area of Freeport Street and Dorchester Ave.
A female was taken from the scene however it is I unknown on what charges she faces. No further information is available on this incident at this time.
