At about 3:40 PM on Saturday, January 15, 2022, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 468 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester. Officers received information from the 911 Dispatcher that there were two men arguing in front of Stop & Shop and one of the men displayed a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers observed and located the suspect, later identified as Ja’Juan Holliman-Wiggins, 21, of Roslindale. Holliman-Wiggins attempted to reach for his waistband, but officers immediately and safely recovered a loaded 9MM Glock 17 Generation 5 with fifteen rounds in the magazine from the suspect’s coat pocket.

Holliman-Wiggins was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.  He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
