Firearm Attachment and Ballistics Located After Old Colony Shots Fired

On Monday, January 31, 2022, at approximately 23:30 hours officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area of the Old Colony housing development. 911 callers indicated five or more rounds discharged in the area.

Arriving officers quickly located ballistic evidence as well as an auxiliary flashlight attachment for a firearm near 110 Mercer Street, just feet away from the Joe Tierney Learning Center.

Detectives processed the scene, and were advised that an image of the suspect may have been captured on a BRIC camera in the area. No arrests have been made at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
