C-6 DCU Takes Known Felon Into Custody, Yet Again in Possession of a Firearm

At about, 9:00 AM, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) and District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) executed a search warrant for William Pope-Dedrick, 25, of Boston and placed him under arrest in the area of Dudley Street and Harrison Avenue in Roxbury.

As a result of an ongoing investigation and a traffic stop, officers recovered a loaded Taurus 9mm High-Capacity Firearm with one round in the chamber and thirteen rounds in the magazine. Also, recovered was a digital scale, thirteen plastic wrappers of what appeared to be crack cocaine and approximately $800.00 in USC. 

William Pope-Dedrick was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number and Possession with Intent to Distribute, Class B, Drugs. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
