Late last night, Tuesday March 15, at approximately 22:00 hours companies from the Boston Fire Department responded to 30 Hemingway Street for reports of a fire.
Smoke was seen coming from the roof, and Box 1593 was struck. At 22:16 hours, the first alarm was called.

Two people were rescued from the blaze, one male and one female. The female experienced heavy smoke inhalation. She was transported by Boston EMS to an area hospital, and her condition is unknown at this time. One firefighter was also transported by Boston EMS with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire, which caused hundreds of dollars in damages, is under investigation by FIU.
