YVSF Recover Firearm and Arrest Man At Gang Memorial in the Morton Street Bricks

Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite firearm arrest in the area of 141 Woodbole Avenue of Tanzerious Anderson Jr, 23, of Dorchester.

As part of an ongoing firearm investigation, Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force were in the area of 141 Woodbole Avenue, where they observed the subject of their ongoing firearm investigation seated inside a vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and requested Anderson exit the vehicle to conduct a pat-frisk. Upon conducting a pat-frisk of a bag in the vehicle, Officers felt an object consistent with the size and shape of a firearm. Upon opening the bag, Officers recovered a loaded firearm. Anderson was placed into custody without incident.

The firearm was determined to be a Monroe “Hell Cat” .380 firearm loaded with five (5) rounds of ammunition in the magazine.

Tanzerious S. Anderson Jr. is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
