Police Assisting with Building Collapse Find Burning Car at North End Traffic Post

Less than two hours after a building collapse in downtown Boston sent emergency crews scrambling, a block and a half away from the site on Prince Street Police Officers directing traffic found a car completely engulfed in fire in the North End.

Officers attempted to extinguish the flames with a hand held water can however the fire just grew and grew. Eventually firefighters arrived on scene and were able to extinguish the blaze, however the car appears to be fully totaled.

No information is available on the cause of the fire however no injuries are reported.
