On Saturday, April 2, 2022 at approximately 01:45 hours officers from District A1 responded to the public parking garage at 75 State Street for reports of a person stabbed.
Officers located a man suffering from stab wounds. The man was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital by Boston EMS with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.
The crime scene was located on the third floor of the garage, where a large amount of blood evidence was located. District detectives responded, and processed the scene, collecting blood samples and photographs.
A female on scene was questioned. Upon review of the secuirty camers, the man was seen brutally assaulting the woman in the elevator of the parking garage. The actual stabbing occurred in a security camera blind spot, but for now, the evidence and witness statements point to a bystander jumping in to protect the woman, and stabbing the male.
The man who was stabbed was taken in to custody at Massachusetts General Hospital. Due to domestic violence victim protection laws, no further information has been released.
