State Police Pursuit Leads to SWAT Call Out in Dorchester

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at approximately 00:30 hours Troopers assigned to H-7, SP Milton Barracks, attempted to stop a vehicle on Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan, near Franklin Field.

The driver quickly fled the traffic stop, accelerating up Blue Hill Avenue before turning right on to Talbot Avenue. The brief chase concluded in the area of 64 Lithgow Street in Dorchester. The female driver was apprehended, and her male passenger absconded in an unknown direction on foot.

Shortly after, a 911 caller informed Boston Police Operations that they had witnessed the passenger enter the basement of an area residence. After securing the perimeter, assets including SWAT and K-9s searched the area for the male including inside a home but the subject was not located.


The operator of the vehicle was taken to the State Police barracks in Milton for processing, and the vehicle she had been operating was towed. The female suspect was charged with numerous Chapter 90 motor vehicle law violations, including failure to stop for police. Sources close to the investigation have told Live Boston that a warrant may be secured for the arrest of the male passenger, who was identified by the wallet he left behind on scene when he fled.
