2-Alarm Fire Leaves 12 Displaced and 2 Firefighters Hospitalized Overnight

Shortly before 21:00 hours Saturday, April 30 2022, Boston Police Officers from District C-11 and Boston Firefighters from across the city, responded to 21 Leedsville Street for reports of a structure fire. On arrival, responders found heavy fire and smoke showing from the residence.

After speaking with the home’s occupants, it was confirmed that everyone had safely made it out of the residence. As firefighters battled the blaze, a second alarm was ordered.

Eventually, the bulk of the fire was knocked down and the extensive overhaul process began. At this time, the cause of the fire is still unknown as Boston Fire FIU continues to investigate.

Fire officials did confirm that Boston EMS transported two fighters to the local area hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries. Members from the Massachusetts Red Cross also responded to the scene to help the 12 displaced members of the multi-family home.
