At approximately 20:00 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 along with Boston EMS and Boston Fire responded to the area of Humboldt Ave and Crawford Street for reports of a MVA. When responders arrived on scene they located an illegal, unregistered moped and it’s rider who had crashed into a vehicle while traveling on Humboldt Ave.
The operator of the moped was transported by Boston EMS with serious injuries however he is expected to survive. A bystander was also transported after he passed out on scene however its unknown his condition at this time.
While officers were processing the crash scene, members of the neighborhood continued to light off fireworks and interfere however officers remained professional and quickly cleared the crash. At this time it is unknown if either involved party has been charged in relation to this accident as it remains under investigation.
