B-3 Anti-Crime Unit Make Firearm Arrest in Dorchester After a Traffic Stop

About 8:50 PM, on Thursday, April 21, 2022, officers assigned to District B-3 Anti-Crime Unit (Mattapan), conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Park Street and Claybourne Street in Dorchester, which resulted in an on-site firearm arrest of Saquan Grady, 20, of Norwood.

While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle with extremely dark tinted windows traveling on Norfolk Street and Morton Street. Officers activated their lights and sirens to conduct the traffic stop. Officers exited their cruiser and approached the occupants of the motor vehicle.

After further investigation, officers recovered a firearm from the coat pocket of Saquan Grady. The loaded firearm was determined to be a Taurus G2C 9mm handgun, with a fixed laser pointer/flashlight. The firearm was loaded with six rounds in the magazine and one round in the chamber.

Sequan Grady was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
