Two in Custody After BPD Investigation Leads to the Recovery of Ammunition, Drugs and Cash in Charlestown

At about 5:25 PM on Wednesday April 13, 2022, members of the BPD Drug Control Unit assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Gregory Kamenides, 20, of East Waterboro, ME, and Joseph Dandreo, 21, of Limerick, ME, on multiple charges following a drug investigation in the area of Monument Street in Charlestown.

Officers placed both suspects in custody without incident after observing a street level drug transaction at which time they were able to safely recover approximately 36 grams of crack cocaine, more than $19,000 in U.S. Currency and 60 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Both suspects will appear in Charlestown District Court on charges of Trafficking Class B Drugs and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws. Gregory Kamenides will face an additional charge of Unlawful Possession of Ammunition as a result of this investigation.
