ON VIDEO: Pedestrian Struck in Brutal East Boston Hit and Run

On Saturday May 14 2022, Boston Police Officers from District A-7 responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the area of 19 Bennington Street in East Boston. On arrival, an adult victim was found unconscious from what appeared to be a brutal hit and run.

According to witnesses, the car fled the scene, not even stopping, after they struck the pedestrian. Video obtained by Live Boston from a local business in the area shows the moment the vehicle stuck the pedestrian in graphic detail.

Video that captured the incident shows the victim being violently thrown into the air before landing in the street. Due to the serious nature of the pedestrian’s injuries, full notifications were made with District Detectives, Commands Staff, Crime Scene Response, Homicide Investigators, and members of FCIT all responded to the scene.

At this time no further information is available.
