Last night, at approximately 03:00 hours, Boston Police Officers assigned to District B-3 responded to the area of Colonial Ave and New England Ave in Dorchester for a 3-round ShotSpotter activation. The location of the shots were directly along the fence that separates the train tracks and Saint Marys Cemetery.
Arriving officers were unable to locate any suspects or victims in the area and began to secure the scene to locate evidence. Multiple spent shell casings were found and processed by District Detectives, however there was no ballistic damage that was observed. The area has multiple cameras and it is likely the incident was caught on one.
