Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, May 24 2022, Boston Police Officers from District E-13 received a ShotSpotter activation for over 13 rounds fired in the area of Parker Street and Bickford Street. While Officers were coming out of roll call to respond, 911 received an update that there was at least one person shot, if not two, inside the notoriously violent Bromley Heath projects.

Boston EMS arrived to the shooting scene quickly and reported that no officers were on scene yet, but that they had located an adult male victim in a car suffering from at least one gun shot wound to his torso. While EMTs were on scene with the victim, Officers from B-2 arrived and helped secure the scene, which is on the E-13 and B-2 border, until the proper district could take over the investigation.

Officers from E-13 eventually arrived and secured the area where the victim was located, taking over for the B-2 units. The area was searched for evidence and witnesses and police could be seen marking shell casings right next to the vehicle the victim was occupying. From the location of the spent ballistics, it appeared that the shooter was standing less than two feet away from the victim when they fired their weapon.

Broken glass from the windows of the car could be seen on the ground as well as clothes and blood. Districts E-13 Detectives responded to the scene where they began photographing and collecting evidence. Housing police officers were also on scene and reported capturing a possible suspect on surveillance cameras however that had not been publicly confirmed.

As of this morning, the victim is expected to survive. Additionally, no arrests have been made and no further information is available.

This shocking execution style shooting comes less than a day after Boston, Housing, and Transit Police captured two extremely violent associates of the gang that calls Bromley Heath home. Their charges were related to two separate shootings that resulted in both of them being charged with assault with attempt to murder among others.
