District B-2 Officers Make Drug and Firearm Arrest on Methadone Mile

At about 2:43 AM on May 24, 2022, Officers assigned to District B2 made an on-site drug and firearm arrest in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard of Jessi Cardona-Restrepo,27, of Everett.

While on directed patrol, officers queried a vehicle via CJIS and determined that it did not have a valid inspection sticker. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle on the Massachusetts Avenue Connector to I-93. Officers observed the passenger, identified as Cardona-Restrepo make several furtive movements in the vehicle.

Officers additionally observed a large quantity of marijuana in plain view. Due to Cardona-Restrepo’s movements, both passengers were removed from the vehicle. Officers frisked both passengers and the vehicle and recovered quantities of marijuana and a loaded firearm. Cardona-Restrepo was taken into custody without incident.

The firearm was determined to be a Glock 23 .40cal with thirteen (13) live rounds in the magazine and an obliterated serial number. Additionally, officers recovered 6 large sandwich baggies containing green vegetable matter, 1 large glass mason jar of loose vegetable matter, a digital scale, and $507 in USC.

Cardona-Restrepo is to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Subsequent Offense), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a loaded Firearm, Unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and Possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
