About 3:15PM, Officers assigned to the District C-6 Drug Control Unit, were in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Southampton Street and made an on-site drug trafficking arrest of Robert Yandle, 42, of Somerville, MA.
While in the area of the above area, Officers observed a male, identified as Yandle, who was in a vehicle and was possibly wanted on warrants. Additionally, when Officers ran a CJIS query on the vehicle, they determined that the registration was revoked.
Upon seeing Officers, Yandle attempted to discard an item that was determined to contain several individually wrapped bags of a substance believed to be fentanyl. On a subsequent search, officers additionally recovered a quantity of crack cocaine. Yandle was placed into custody without further incident.
Yandle is to be charged with Trafficking a class A substance, and Possession with intent to distribute class B. Yandle was additionally wanted on a warrant out of Suffolk Superior court for charges of Mayhem and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Robert Yandle is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
