BPD Seeks Public Help in Identifing Three Suspects

On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at approximately 12:15 PM in the area of 35 Edgewood Street in Roxbury, police were called for an aggravated assault.

The unidentified suspect is described as a light-skinned black male in his late teens or early twenties. He was approximately 5’8″ and around 200 pounds. The suspect was wearing light blue jeans, a dark jacket, and carrying a bright-colored jacket.

He came onto the scene from Edgewood Street, in the area of Warren Street, and was last seen walking up Blue Hill Avenue towards Quincy Street at 12:20 PM. The suspect was allegedly displaying the handle of a firearm in the waistband of his pants when he committed the assault.

Police are also looking to identify suspects in a skimming device scheme at Tropical Food Supermarket in Roxbury that occurred on June 10th.

The “skimming device” was found at the supermarket at 450 Melnea Cass Boulevard in Roxbury. The device found can be attached to card readers at ATMs, gas pumps, and more and was used to steal credit card information from unsuspecting customers.

Police Identified the fraudsters as two light-skinned males, possibly white or Hispanic. One of the men appeared to have a beard and was wearing a white fitted hat, a light colored zip-up hoodie, dark pants, and black sneakers. The second man also appeared to have a beard and was wearing a Yankees hat and was dressed in all black.
