Shots Ring Out During Charlestown High School Graduation

On Monday, June 13th, at approximately 3:50 pm, multiple 911 calls came from the Charlestown High School Graduation stating that multiple shots had been fired. Multiple city agencies responded to what they believed may be an active shooter.

In the chaos, a teacher was trampled but thankfully there were no other victims. The teacher was subsequently transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for what Boston EMS described as a serious lower extremity injury.

When Officers from District A-1 and A-15 arrived they found multiple vehicles that had ballistic damage. Officers also located numerous spent shell casings on Polk Street, directly in front of Charlestown High School.

Detectives from District A-1 as well as investigators from the Crime Scene Response Unit processed the scene. They documented the ballistic evidence, damage and other objects before photographing and collecting them. At this time no arrests have been made yet and the incident remains under investigation.
