Officer Gets Bitten After Fenway Fight On Wednesday

On June 16, 2022 around 10:00 p.m., a fight broke out at one of Boston’s most iconic streets lining Fenway Park at a watch party.

District D-4 officers responded to the scene in of the fight in front of one of popular bars, Game On! which usually cater to rowdy baseball fans but recently has come under fire with violence and even shootings. The City of Boston in partnership with the Red Sox hosted a free watch party for the Celtics Game which brought in over ten thousand basketball fans.

Once the officers reached the scene and tried to settle the violence, they found the suspect choking out an unconscious person on the ground surrounded by a large group. Officers immediately intervened and the suspect must must have mistaken a police officer for a Fenway Frank because they then sunk their teeth into the policeman.

The crowd continued to antagonize the officers with one female (pictured above) drunkenly screaming and calling officers a myriad of slurs and insults. The Officer who was bit was evaluated by Boston EMS on scene and advised to seek treatment.
