Shots Fired on Hallet Street in Dorchester

Yesterday morning at approximately 02:45 hours a resident called to report shots fired between Minot St and Hallet Street.

When officers arrived on scene, several neighbors also confirmed that they had heard the shots, yet did not call 911.

Officers we’re also informed when they arrived on the scene that the shots had been heard almost 45 minutes before they called 911. With assistance from a K-9 unit, eight spent shell casings were located on the sidewalk. No victims were located.

The Sargent on scene photographed and recovered the casings and cleared the scene. At this time no arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
