Boston Police and Northeastern Police Arrest Suspect in Possession of a Loaded Firearm

At about 7:27 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End), responded to assist an outside agency at 39 Cunard Street resulting in the firearm arrest of Isaac Almendarez, 26, of Roxbury.

Officers were informed through 911 operations that a male was observed climbing on the fire escape of the building. Upon arrival, Boston Police, along with Northeastern Police apprehended the suspect, later identified as Almendarez.

During the arrest, officers recovered a loaded Taurus 9mm with one round in the chamber and eight rounds in the magazine from Almendarez’ coat pocket. He was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
