Person Shot in Dorchester Expected to Survive

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 1, 2022, a person was shot in Dorchester. District B-3 Officers and Boston EMS responded to multiple 911 calls stating a man had been shot near the intersection of Radcliffe Street and Carmen Street. When Officers and EMTs arrived they discovered an injured person laying in the street with at least one bullet wound in the leg with possible additional injuries.

Officers could be seen securing the area which included a white car believed to be the victims. District detectives also responded to the scene to investigate the incident and process the scene. Evidence markers could be seen showing where the victims blood covered clothes, shoe and car were as well as other blood and ballistic evidence.

The injuries sustained from the shooting are serious but thankfully non life-threatening. The victim’s mother in a statement said he is currently still in surgery but is expected to make a full recovery.
