Boston Fire Fights Two Alarm Blaze in Jamaica Plain

On July 1, 2022 a two-alarm fire disrupted the afternoon at a three-story, two-family home at 83 Minden Street, Jamaica Plain. Boston Fire Department responded to the scene at about 5:30 p.m.

The porches at the back of the house endured heavy fire, causing them to collapse. Firefighters were forced to break down walls, ceilings, and floors to access hot spots and any other residents in the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Four people and one dog were able to escape injury but they remain displaced as the house is uninhabitable.
