Officers Assigned to District B-3 Drug Control Unit Make Firearm and Drug Arrest Following Investigation.

At about 8:42 PM on June 5, 2022, Officers assigned to District B-3 Drug Control Unit conducted a drug investigation in the area of 1631 Blue Hill Avenue and made an on-site arrest of Javonte Robinson, 26, of Boston, on weapons and drug charges.

Officers were conducting an investigation in the area of the above location when they observed a male, later identified as Javonte Robinson, conduct a street-level drug transaction. Officers approached Robinson and a male and female that he was with to conduct a stop. 

Officers approached the small group, identified themselves as Boston Police, and advised them why they were being stopped.  Officers observed a knife clipped to his pocket during this interaction.  As Officers attempted to pat-frisk Robinson, he continually attempted to walk away from officers.  Officers conducted a pat frisk and recovered a loaded firearm, heroin, a white rock substance believed to be crack cocaine, and a quantity of U.S. Currency.  Additionally, Officers recovered a white rock-like substance from the female in the group.

The firearm was a Glock 27 loaded with one (1) round in the chamber and eight (8) rounds in the magazine.  Additionally, the firearm was determined to be reported stolen out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Javonte Robinson is to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking in Class A and Class B Drugs, and Distribution of a Class B Drug, and receiving stolen property.
