On Monday July 4, 2022, at approximately 00:15 hours, Boston Police Officers from District C-11 along with MBTA Transit Police and Boston EMS responded to a report of multiple people shot in the area of Dorchester Ave and Bailey Street across from the Ashmont MBTA Station.
On arrival they located three adult male victims all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds including one to the buttocks. Multiple Boston EMS units quick arrived on scene and began treating and transporting the victims to local area hospitals for further treatment. Their injuries have been described as serious but non life threatening at this time.
Detectives from C-11 responded to the scene and the area was secured as Officers searched for evidence. Numerous spent shell casings were located in the parking lot of Dunkin’s as well as some blood evidence.
While Officers were on scene, a fourth male victim self-applied to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with gun shot wounds. He told investigators that he was shot in the same incident at Ashmont Station.
Detectives from District C-11 could be seen placing evidence markers and searching the area for clues. As they processed the scene, they photographed, cataloged and collected the evidence that was marked off.
At this time no arrests have been made and no further information is available. Detectives assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4335.
