Shooting in Mattapan Bricks Leaves Juvenile Hospitalized

On Sunday night at about 22:42 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-3, along with State Police and Boston Housing Police all responded to a call for a person Shot in the area of 50 Woodbole Ave.

On arrival, Officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting. Boston EMS responded to the scene and transported him to a local area hospital where his injuries are considered serious but his condition stable. He is expected to survive.

Detectives from District B-3 quickly responded and as the scene was being secured, marked the numerous spent shell casings and other evidence with numbered markers. Investigators could also be seen photographing and collecting the evidence.

At this time no arrests have been made and no further information is available. Detectives assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4248.
