Randolph Shooting: One dead, Another Critically Injured

Outside of Mojitos country club in Randolph on July 4th around 8pm, a shooting occurred killing one man and critically injuring another. The two victims were rushed to Boston hospital where the man was pronounced dead, while the other still faces life threatening injuries according to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s office.

As the two men were leaving Mojitos country club, (which is described to be a Latin-themed entertainment complex) they allegedly stopped to exchange words with other men and soon after nearby people claimed to have heard the gun shots go off. The business had been hosting a pool party from 2pm to 8pm, and the victims were on their way out after the event had come to a close.

State and local police units blocked off a parking lot near the incident for investigation. The man who tragically died is said to be 29-year-old Ivanildo Cabral of Worcester. At this time, the other victims name still remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified. The DA and police have announced to the public that there is no threat to the community, as they continue to interview witnesses in order to get to the bottom of the situation.
