Call for a B&E Ends with Firearm Arrest in Roxbury

At approximately 01:50 hours on the evening of July 7, 2022, District B-2 Officers responded to a 911 call for a breaking and entering incident that had occurred on 40 Dale Street in Roxbury.

The caller, who was 15 minute delayed, reported that there was a break-in at their house. When officers arrived to the address, they searched the house and discovered a firearm in the front hallway and spent shell casings in the upstairs hallways.

Subsequently, Tommy Rogers of 40 Dale Street was placed under arrest for charges of both unlawfully possessing as well as unlawfully discharging the firearm. It is unclear at this time if there was intact a break in or there was actually some other type of issue.

The house does have front security cameras which detectives hope will aid their investigation. At this time no arrests have been made and no further information is available. Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4275.
