Gang Unit Arrests Two for Firearms Including Repeat Offender and Career Criminal Anthony Tabb

At about 7:22 PM on Monday, July 4, 2022, Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite firearm arrest of Anthony Tabb, 28, of Brockton, and Michael Stroud-Jamison, 34, of Boston, in the area of 214 Harvard Street on weapon and drug-related charges.

As part of an ongoing investigation, Officers were able to determine that Anthony Tabb was in possession of a firearm and was in the area of 214 Harvard Street. Officers drove to the location and located Tabb walking with Michael Stroud-Jamison.

Officers stopped both individuals and, upon conducting a pat-frisk, recovered a loaded firearm from the waistband of Tabb and recovered a second firearm from a fanny pack found in possession of Stroud-Jamison. Tabb and Stroud-Jamison were taken into custody without further incident.

This is not Anthony Tabb’s first run in with police, its actually far from that. Tabb is a well known and well documented offender of firearms laws in Boston. In September of 2016, officers assigned to District B-3 arrested Tabb after he was found to be in possession of an illegal .40 caliber Smith & Wesson SD40 VE handgun which was suspected to have been used in an earlier shooting. Last August of 2021, we reported when Tabb was arrested by the Drug Control Unit for his habitual drug dealing, this time no firearms charges were filed. These are among a few of interactions documented in the records.

The firearm recovered from Tabb was determined to be a 9mm Taurus Millennium G2 equipped with an extended magazine loaded with four (4) rounds in the magazine and one (1) round in the chamber. The firearm recovered from Stroud-Jamison was determined to be a 9mm Taurus G2C. The firearm was equipped with an extended magazine with twelve (12) live rounds loaded in the magazine. Officers additionally recovered twenty (20) loose rounds.

Tabb and Stroud-Jamison are to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court. Tabb is to be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a large capacity feeding device, carrying a loaded firearm, and Armed Career Criminal Level 2.

Stroud-Jamison is to be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of a large capacity firearm during the commission of a felony, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs, and Armed Career Criminal Level 1.
