Boston Police in Roxbury Investigating Early Morning Shootout

A car was hit by gunfire on 239 Harold street at approximately 1:50 am this morning, July 11 2022. Boston Police Officers from B-2 and District Detectives responded for a two round ShotSpotter activation as well as at least one 911 call. Ballistic evidence was recovered on the scene and ballistic damage to a vehicle were documented and processed by Detectives.

Motivations regarding wether the suspect was firing at anything other than the vehicle is unclear. Nevertheless, BPD confirms that the car was not occupied and there were no injuries.

At this time no arrests have been made and no further information is available. Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4275.
