Shots fired feet away from eversource Workers Tuesday

At approximately 00:45 hours on July 12, 2022, Eversource employees working overnight were shocked and startled after numerous shots rang out in the area of their work site. The workers reported that they heard the shots on Ruggles Street in lower Roxbury.

Officers from District B-2 quickly responded to both the numerous 911 calls as well as the ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival to the scene, no shooter or injured parties were found however, spent shell casings were found about 50 feet away from the Eversource workers. The workers could not identify the suspect.

District Detectives responded to the scene where they photographed, documented and processed the ballistic evidence. At this time no further information is available and no arrests have been made.

Detectives assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4712.
