Sunday night at approximately 20:45 hours Boston Police Officers from District B-3 responded to ShotSpotter activation in the area of Stratton Street. The advanced ShotSpotter technology reported that roughly 10 rounds were fired, consistent with the 911 calls received. As officers were responding to the area, an additional 911 was placed stating that a person was shot in the face.

Officers arrived and quickly located the victim, a teenage boy, who was seen walking to the ambulance with gauze covering his eyes and face. Officers described his injury as slightly more than graze wound.

Additionally, witnesses provided officers with a suspect description of two males on a scooter. Officers search in the area did chase down two males on a scooter (after they crashed trying to flee) however it is unclear if they are the suspects as Boston Police has not been able to confirm any details.

Officers did locate numerous spent shell casings and other evidence and the area was closed off with crime scene tape. District Detectives could be seen marking, photographing and collecting the casings and other basaltic evidence.
