Youth Violence Strike Force makes an on-site Firearm and Drug Arrest

At about 9:24 PM, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an on-site firearm and drug arrest of Tyrice Wilson, 25, of Brockton, in the area of 9 Peacevale Road in Mattapan. 

Officers were on directed patrol when they received information about a fight near 9 Peacevale Road in Mattapan. Officers observed a vehicle in the parking lot of the above location with numerous no trespassing signs posted. While speaking with the occupants, officers made observations that led them to believe that Tyrice Wilson was in Possession of a firearm.

Officers additionally observed a bulge in his waistband area of Wilson that they believed to be a firearm. Officers safely removed Wilson from the vehicle and recovered a loaded firearm upon conducting a pat-frisk. A subsequent search of Wilson led to the recovery of drug charges.

The firearm was determined to be a 9mm Taurus G2c with twelve (12) rounds in the magazine and one (1) round in the chamber.

Tyrice Wilson is to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Carrying a loaded firearm, Possession of a large capacity feeding device, Possession with intent to distribute Class A, Possession with intent to Distribute Class C, and Trespassing.
