Boston Police Investigating Shots Fired Call on Dorchester Ave

On Saturday, August 27, 2022 at approximately 01:00 hours, Boston Police officers from District C-11 responded to a Shotspotter activation for gunfire in the area of Dorchester Avenue and Charles Street. In addition to the activation, a 911 caller provided incoming units with similar information as well as a suspect vehicle description.

Officers canvased the area for victims and evidence, locating approximately 4 spent shell casings in the street. The ballistic evidence was marked, photographed and collected by the patrol supervisor and the case was referred to District Detectives.

Police are still investigating this incident and have made no arrests have been made at this time. Detectives from District C-11 are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Any individuals with information can contact District C-11 Detectives at 617-343-4335.
